Obituary of Ruby Shantz Martin

Martin, Ruby (Brubacher) ~ Passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Melvin Martin (2015). Dear mother of Audrey (Mrs. Edgar) Gingrich, Murrel and Mary, Robert and Elizabeth, and Elaine, all of Drayton, Calvin and Pauline of Elmira, Neil and Jean of Drayton, Harold and Miriam of Moorefield, Gary and Carolyn of Drayton, and Dennis and Christine of Alma. Fondly remembered by 35 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren. Survived by sisters Naomi (Mrs. Eden) Martin, Ella (Mrs. Maurice) Martin, Nora and Melvin Martin, Alice Brubacher, and sisters-in-law Lucinda Brubacher and Elsie (Mrs. David) Brubacher. Predeceased by her parents, Sidney and Alice (Shantz) Brubacher, infant son Marvin, son-in-law Edgar Gingrich, granddaughters Carolyn Gingrich and Brenda Gingrich, siblings Verna and Edgar Martin, Lester Brubacher and Erma Brubacher, and brothers-in-law Orval, Cleason and Clarence, and sister-in-law Vietta. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, on Saturday, July 29, 2017, from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, July 30, 2017, from 2-5 p.m. and 6-8:30 p.m. A family service will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017, at 9 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, then to North Woolwich Mennonite Meeting House for burial and public service. Service Summary Visitation: Dreisinger Funeral Home (62 Arthur St. S. Elmira) Saturday, July 29, 2017, 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, July 30, 2017, 2-5 p.m. and 6-8:30 p.m. ~ Family service: Monday, July 31, 2017, 9 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, then to North Woolwich Mennonite Meeting House for burial and public service.
