Pauline, Tammy and Sherry and families,
It has been a few years since I have seen you but I have very fond memories of your family Christmases at Hidden Acres. I would just like to extend my condolences in the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. I always appreciated his humour and his exceptional mind.
May God surround you with his peace and love at this time.

Dear Pauline,
How I remmeber the last time I saw Allen. It was a gathering in a community center but I can't remember the occaswion. It was so good to see both of you. The Lord knows the number of our days, and how wonderful when we know Him, we are assured of our place in heaven. Some day we will be together forever. May you be comforted by the Holy Spirit, Who has been given to su to comfort at times like this. This note comes to you from Puerto Rico. Many blessings.

Pauline, Sherri, Tammy and families. My deepest condolences to you as you travel this difficult path in life.
Allen had such wit about him. He was proud of his personalized license plate...AM PM. I can still hear his laugh as he told me about them.
My Side of the Dam was the first thing I would read when the Observer arrived. His outlook on life was like no other.
Cherish the memories Allen has left behind and know he is smiling down on all of you as he watches over everyone.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Pauline, and your family during this difficult time. I have fond memories of Allen, playing instruments and singing together, the Martin and Bowman families. Also the time that your family stayed with us when the power was out. Their are many more memories of our family times together, even as we got older, married and had children of our own.
We are visiting our family out west right now and are sorry we won't be home until after the funeral.
May you feel surrounded with God's love and comfort at this time.
Sending our love,
Ken and Gloria

The bond between a husband and a wife is unlike any other. The husband is the wife’s rock and the wife is what completes him. A husband is always strong, stable, powerful, and brave. He makes decisions that are best for the family, and he lays the foundations of dreams both big and small. Husbands play a very important role in any family. Pauline my dear sweet friend, when a husband leaves this world we can easily see how this may make any family crumble and fall apart, leaving yourself and your children asking where do we go from here?
The future is uncertain, and your bereaved family will need all the love and support that they can get from family and friends. The words of condolence will not work a miracle to bring back that one person that you loved so deeply, nor guarantee that everything will be alright. But it is my hope that they will give you the comfort that you need to believe that anything is possible.
Just remember, your husband may be resting in peace in his new home, but know that you will never be alone. We will be here for you every step of the way. We know that you and your family are hurting and must take the time to grieve, but try to focus on today. Take it one day at a time.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you deal with this terrible loss. Know that we are all here holding your hand all throughout this journey.
Love your friend Syl

Allen has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, since I was only 8 when Allen and Pauline got married. I spent a lot of time at the Martin house in my teen years, babysitting my 2 nieces. I always had much respect for Allen. He was so gifted and willingly shared his many gifts and talents to serve his church, community and family. Allen will be missed by all who knew him.
Love and prayers to you Pauline and family.
