Obituary of Donald Ray McAllister

Peacefully passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Innisfree House, Kitchener, in his 96th year.

Don was the beloved husband of Bessie (Howes) McAllister for 74 years. Dear father of Sharon Farr of Elmira and Ronald McAllister of Mabel Lake, BC. Loving grandfather of Charlene Pringle of Elmira and Darren and Jillian Farr of Barrie. Great-grandfather of Derek Boyce and Kelsea Book;  Brayden, Charlotte, Emilie and Spenser Farr, and great-great-grandfather of Jacob Pardy, Teagan, Micah and Kytann Boyce, Caleb Book and Izabelle Ward.

Predeceased by his parents Robert and Maud McAllister, brothers Francis and Charles, and sisters Thelma and Alice.

The family will receive their relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 2–2:45 p.m. A legion service will take place at 2:45 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m. Cremation will take place. In his memory, donations to the Poppy Fund, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 469 would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
