Obituary of Allan Norburn Cowan
Passed away after an honourable struggle with cancer, on Monday, September 24, 2018, at the Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital, at the age of 74 years.
Allan Cowan was the beloved husband of Janet Cowan. Dear father of Laurie Garner, Richard, and Todd (Lisa). Loving grandfather of 12 grandchildren and a great-grandson. Also survived by sisters Maureen and Mary, and brother Warren.
Predeceased by his parents Frank and Marion Cowan, and his first wife Donelda (1969).
At Allan’s request, there will be no funeral home visitation. Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life for Allan will be held at The Royal Canadian Legion Br. 469, 11 First St. E., Elmira, on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 2-5 p.m. It is an open house style and relatives and friends are welcome to come and go during that time.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Brain Tumour Foundation.
