Obituary of Joan Margaret Gilbank
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at St. Mary’s General Hospital, at the age of 85 years.
Joan, formerly of Chatham, was the beloved mother of Butch Gilbank of Vernon, BC, Debbie and Ralph Gerber of Elmira, and Barbie-Jo Gilbank of Vernon, BC. Loved grandmother of five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren. Dear sister of Monty Lowe, Linda McInall, and Mary-Jo Henry.
Predeceased by her father Jim Jackson, mother Verna (Clifford) Lowe, stepfather Reginald Lowe, brother Michael James Lowe, and sister Bev Robb.
At Joan’s request, cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to The War Amps would be appreciated by the family.
