Obituary of William John Wright

Wright, William John (Bill) ~ Passed away at the Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton on Saturday July 1, 2017, at the age of 67 years. Bill Wright, of Elmira, is lovingly remembered by his partner Dulce Wale and was predeceased by his first wife Bonnie (Rau) Wright (2012). Loving father of Stephanie and Marv Schaus, Ryan and Lori Wright, and Jamie and Nicole Wright. Loving Pa to Tegan and Cade Schaus; Gavin Wright; and Emily and Brenden Wright. Dear brother of Sharon and Mike Straus, Judy Wright, Paul and Barb Grosz, and Joanne and Paul Straus. Also lovingly remembered by Bonnie’s family: mother-in-law Arlene Rau, brothers and sisters-in-law Vicky Rau, Tracy and Doug Winslade, Brad Rau, and Chris and Steve McCullough. He was predeceased by his parents Ross and Kay (Schwartz) Wright, his father-in-law Ron Rau, brothers-in-law Ron Rau Jr. and Wallace (Bimbo) Rau, and sister-in-law Cheryl Stemmler. Bill owned and operated J.R. Wright Construction Ltd. for 46 years. Bill was a member of the Elmira Lions Club, an avid Blue Jays fan, an avid sportsman in his younger years and in later years he coached many successful seasons with Woolwich Minor Hockey. At Bill’s request cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral home visitation or public service. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Bill’s memory may be made to Friends of Hockey.
