Obituary of James David Martin
Peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Grand River Hospital, at the age of 80 years. David, of Conestogo, was the beloved husband and best friend of Marion (Benninger) Martin for 60 years. Dear father of Cheryl Martin-Dodgson of London, David W.P. and Lucie Martin of St. Albert, Alberta, Paul-Michael Martin of Chalk River, Quinn J. Martin and Michelle Miller of Winterbourne, and Heidi and Andriy Shtovba of Monkton. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Victoria and Emma-Leigh Martin; Conrad and Nicole Martin; Bruce and Rachel Martin; Damian, Rama, and Alisha Shtovba, and his great-grandson Jace Martin. Brother of Ann Waugh and Bertha and Tony Plein. Predeceased by his parents William and Susannah (Kraemer) Martin, brother Odell, and sisters Esther Waugh and Lena Belbeck. At David’s request cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation for relatives and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the memorial mass at 11 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila RC Church, 19 Flamingo Dr., Elmira. In lieu of flowers, donations to The War Amps or St. Teresa’s Building Fund would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
