Obituary of Sarah B Shantz
Peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Derbecker’s Heritage House, St. Jacob’s, at the age of 103 years. Beloved wife of the late Lorne W. Shantz (1993). Lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Sarah was the last surviving member of her family having been predeceased by her parents Allan and Mary (Bauman) Knarr, sisters Elizabeth Brubacher and Lovina Martin, and brothers Norman and Noah Knarr. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 1 p.m. until the funeral service time at 2 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A reception will follow. Interment will take place at Calvary United Cemetery, St. Jacobs. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated.
