Obituary of Ella Shoemaker
Shoemaker, Ella (nee Sittler)
Passed away peacefully at St.Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener, on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at the age of 77 years. Ella was the beloved wife of the late Wilfred Shoemaker (2012). Lovingly remembered by her brother Wesley and Nancy Sittler of Linwood; nieces and nephews: Barbara, Melvin (Lorene), Naomi, Mark (Betty) Sittler, and their children; Wilfred's children: Edith (Ernie) Martin, Gerald (Shirley), Harvey (Carolyn) and Carol (Keith) Woods; 11 step-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by parents Irvin and Leah (Buehler) Sittler, and brother Leonard in infancy. The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and staff of Chartwell LTC, Elmira, for their loving care over the past ten years. Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 22, 2017, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. Visitation Friday, June 23, 2017, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., at Bethel Mennonite Church, 6772 Eighth Line West, RR 1 Elora, with interment at 10:30 a.m. in Bethel Mennonite Cemetery. Funeral service at 11:00 a.m., with reception to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Chateau Garden Auxiliary, Elmira or the Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated by the family.
