Obituary of June Coté
Passed away peacefully at her home in Elmira, on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at the age of 92 years. Born October 31, 1925 in Humberston, ON (Port Colborne), June was the beloved wife of the late Alfred John Coté Sr. (1994), who was the founder of Coté Locksmiths. Dear mother of Penny Coté Kearns, Robin Hiebert, Alfred John Coté Jr. (Heather), and Martin Coté (Suzanne). Will be missed by grandchildren Jason (Chris) and Jacob; Miles and John Paul (Andrea); Jackie (Justin), Jamie and Amanda (Drew); Stephanie (Andrew), Michael (Hillary) and Jennifer; James; and her seven great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Martin and May (MacDonald) Anger, siblings Irene Gibson, Marion Babcock, Addie O'Neil, and son-in-law Daniel (Danny) Hiebert.
June had a very interesting life, loved to travel, and lived in many different places. She was a very positive person, and was loved by many. She used to tell people how things have changed in her 92 years. She loved to walk everywhere, and when she got outside, she would raise her hands in the air and say "I'm free! I'm free!"
At June’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral home visitation or service. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or the Elmira Legion Poppy Fund would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
