Obituary of Patricia Shirley Thompson
Passed away peacefully at her home, Chartwell Elmira Retirement Residence, on Monday, June 25, 2018, at the age of 84 years.
Beloved wife of the late Gerald Thompson (1995). Loved mother of Iris and Adrian Miltenburg, Ivy and Julian Yarrow, Wesley and Sandra, William and Denys, Ina and Rob Chambers, and Tim and Rhonda. Loving grandmother of 12 grandchildren, Colleen, Christine, Christopher, Cynthia, Jonathan, Brittney, Michael, Josh, Mark, Monica, Meagan, and Lindsey, and 12 great-grandchildren, Luke, Evelyn, Andrew, Libby, Kayla, Owen, Ella, Henry, Brooke, Matilda, Hudson, and Albert. Dear sister of Ross Thompson. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Gloria Gibbons and Doris Gougeon.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. Visitation will also be held in Parry Sound on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 1 p.m. until the funeral service time at 2 p.m. at Logan’s Funeral Home, 81 James St., Parry Sound. Interment will take place in Sylvan Acres Cemetery, McDougall Township, followed by a reception at Logan’s Funeral Home.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Chartwell, Dr. Keleher, Dr. Jones, and the palliative care team for the excellent care our mother received. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
