Obituary of Amos S Burkhart
Passed away at his home on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the age of 88 years. Husband of Rebecca (Weber) Burkhart of RR3, Wallenstein. Father of Esther and Melvin Martin of Desboro, Maryann at home, Joseph and Lovina, David and Lydia, Mark and Marlene all of RR1, Wallenstein, Abner and Esther of RR3, Wallenstein. Survived by sisters-in-law Susannah Martin, Annie Weber, and Adah Burkhart, and brothers-in-law Noah Weber and Elam Horst. Predeceased by his parents Christian and Mary Ann (Shantz) Burkhart, brothers Henry and Elam Burkhart, sister Elsie Frey, three brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m on Monday, June 11, 2018 and will be held from 1-5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at his home, 4263 Ament Line, RR3, Wallenstein. A family service will be held at 9 a.m. from his home on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, then to the Linwood Mennonite Meeting house for burial and public service. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
