Obituary of Eva Pearl Shoemaker
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Clair Hills Retirement Community, at the age of 92 years. Eva was the beloved mother of Yvonne Taliotis of Waterloo. Dear grandmother of Roger Taliotis (Helen) and Althea Cheng (Kevin), and great-grandmother of William and Luke; Persephone and Seraphina. Eva will be missed by her sister Mary Cutting and many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her husband William ‘Bill’ Shoemaker (2009). Special thank you to the wonderful team at Clair Hills for their exceptional care. The family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 in the funeral home chapel, with reception to follow. Interment in Elmira Union Cemetery. Donations to World Vision Canada or West Montrose United Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
