Obituary of Donald Herman Hartung

Peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest, at the age of 88 years.

Beloved husband of the late Jean (Bremner) Hartung (2006). Dear father of Gerald and Cindy of Ayton, Kevin and Dianne of Listowel, Judy and Dave Morton of Conestogo, and Nancy and Brian Hartman of Ayton. Lovingly remembered by his 10 grandchildren, Jeremy (Michelle), Jason (Nicole), Holly, Tricia (Rene), Heather, Chad (Krista), Christopher (Katie), Kelsey (Brad), Ian (Leanne), and Megan (Steve), and 13 great-grandchildren.

Don is the last surviving member of his family having been predeceased by his parents Martha (Ziegler) and Edward Hartung, brothers Harvey and Bert, and sister Hilda Goodwin.

The family will receive their relatives and friends on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 2925 Lobsinger Line, Heidelberg. Interment in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Heidelberg.
