Obituary of Oscar W. Martin
Passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, on April 26, 2018, in his 78th year.
Oscar W. Martin, of RR 2, Alma, was the beloved husband of MaryAnn Martin. Dear father of Nancy (Amsey) Frey of RR 3, Listowel, Mary (Onias) Metzger of RR 1, Moorefield, Shirley (Melvin) Martin of RR 2, Wallenstein, Betty (Leonard) Gingrich of RR 1, Elmira, Elsie (Ray) Brubacher of RR 1, Wallenstein, Elmer (Vera) Martin, Phares (Nancy) Martin, and James (Marilyn) Martin, all of RR 2, Alma. Grandfather of 64 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren. Brother of Melinda (Isaac) Weber, and brother-in-law of Selina (Mrs. Henry) Martin.
Predeceased by his parents Isaac and Rebecca Martin, a grandson and a great-grandson, brothers Aden (Alice) Martin and Henry (Florence) Martin, and sisters Elvina (Isaac Martin)(Emerson Brubacher) and Almeda (Elmer) Martin.
Visitation for relatives and friends will take place at his home, 7264 Sideroad 19, RR 2, Alma, on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 10-12 a.m., 1-5 and 6-8 p.m. A family service will be held at the home on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 9 a.m. then to Creekbank Mennonite Meeting House, for burial and public service.
