Obituary of Bernice Lucille Scheerer
Peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Grand River Hospital at the age of 78 years.
Loving wife and best friend for 58 years of Robert “Bob” of West Montrose.
Dear mother of Wendy and Ron Holowchuk of Heidelberg, Doug and Carolyn of West Montrose, and Sue Fisher (Rich) of Dorking.
Cherished Nana of Echoe Lambertz, Chantel (Kris) Lewis; Christina-Dawn (1993), Caitlin (Mike) Martin, Stephen (Shawnee); Elisha Fisher (James), Kristen Fisher and Tim Fisher.
“Little Nana” of Keaton Lambertz, Bennett Lambertz, Sommer Lewis and Myla Lewis. Bernice was the last surviving member of her family, having been predeceased by her parents Andrew and Josephine (Weiler) Scheffner, her siblings Edward, Raymond, Hilbert, Beatrice, Margaret, and Ken. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
At Bernice’s request, cremation has taken place.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m. Reception to follow. A family interment will take place at West Montrose Church Cemetery.
In Bernice’s memory, donations to St. Mary’s Hospital Cardiac Care Centre would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
