Obituary of Jean Helen Litt

Litt, Jean Helen (neé Schwartzbeck) Peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Guelph General Hospital at the age of 86 years. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Litt (2015). Dear Mother of David and Chris Litt, Deborah Dunlop, Stephen Litt, all of St. Jacobs, Angela Derose and Mark of Prescott. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jeff and Amanda Litt, Kelly Heinmiller and Mike, Scott Litt and Heather Heibein; Jessica Dunlop; Jason Doak and Carla; Shelby and Wayne Derose; and by her four great-grandchildren Stephen Doak, Madeline and Olivia Heinmiller, and Ilana Litt. Sister of Betty Hinsperger, Eileen Randall, Rosemary and Jim Wright, and sister-in-law of Barbara Ryerse, Carl and Carol Litt, Mervin and Wendy Litt. Predeceased by her parents Agnes and Simon Schwartzbeck, and son Gary in infancy (1959). Jean worked at the St. Jacobs Post Office for 28 years, belonged to the CWL for over 50 years and enjoyed her flower and vegetable garden up until the last year; but most importantly Jean loved her family. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 3-5 and 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, with parish prayers offered at 3:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila RC Church, 19 Flamingo Dr., Elmira. Interment to follow in Elmira Union Cemetery. In Jean’s memory, donations to the Arthritis Society, St. Mary’s Cardiac Care, or St. Teresa’s RC Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. www.dreisingerfuneralhome.com
