Obituary of George Rudow
Passed away peacefully on Friday, March 2, 2018, at Columbia Forest LTC Centre, Waterloo, at the age of 99 years. George Rudow was the beloved husband of the late Florence (Moore) Rudow (2012). Dear father of Bill and Nancy of RR 2, Wallenstein, John and Karen of Elmira, Paul and Cheryl of Waterloo, and Terry and Kate of Waterloo. Cherished Papa of Jeff (Lisa), Anne, Jonathan (Jessica), Kara (Darren); Jordan (Angela), Bailey (Ryan), Alex (Sara); Emily (Alicia), Tom (Dana) and Alexandra; and seven great-grandchildren. Remembered by his extended family in England. Predeceased by his granddaughter Bonnie Florence Rudow, parents Fred and Emma (Jung) Rudow, brother Weldon, and sister Marietta Klinck. George was a veteran of WWII serving with the Royal Canadian Air Force in Northern England. He was the former owner of Rudow's Auto Body in Elmira. He enjoyed curling and woodworking during his active years. A private family funeral service will be held with interment to follow in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Elmira. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
