Life well Lived
A life well lived is a precious gift,
of hope and strength and grace,
from someone who has made our world
a brighter, better place.
It's filled with moments, sweet and sad
with smiles and sometimes tears,
with friendships formed and good times shared,
and laughter through the years.
A life well lived is a legacy,
of joy and pride and pleasure,
a living, lasting memory
our grateful heart's will treasure.

It has been well over 50 years since I last saw Dave but I shall always and do to this day remember his sparkling mischievous eyes, his genuine warm laughter and wit, the lock of hair that would fall over his forehead and the easy friendship one felt immediately. Condolences to family and friends who mourn his loss. Thankfully he is at rest after such a long and arduous good bye.

I'm not sure if Dave thought of himself this way-but he was a great motivator! He possessed a tremendous sense of humour-but he was also a deep thinker who liked to share motivational quotes. And he gently guided through friendship and example. Dave cared and his life was a great example of how to serve community and have fun doing it. I tried to portray Dave in a play I wrote but it was a dull comparison to the force of nature that he really was. I feel lucky that I got to call Dave my friend.
Sincere condolences to Margaret and family.

Barry and I are deeply saddened by Dave's passing. I have known Dave since elementary school but it was more the great times and parties that we all attended in High School and beyond.
Dave was certainly an icon with the Dundas gang. He always kept us abreast on what was going on in Dundas. And if there was an event we shouldn't miss. Our Dundas group was very lucky to have kept in touch all these years. Dave will be greatly missed by all of us. Barry and I are away now but our thoughts will be with Dave's family on Wednesday. It is a difficult time .

I’ve known Dave since high school and always enjoyed his sense of humour and genuine enthusiasm no matter how many years might have passed. I can remember when he met Margie at Deer Lodge in 1962. Who could have known then what a wonderful family life they would have and all the memories they made together. I will truly miss him, but I’m so glad I knew him. Rest easy Dave - you’ve earned it.
