Metzger, Elmer S. Passed away peacefully on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Barnswallow Place, Elmira, at the age of 90 years. Dear brother of Amzie Metzger, Noah and Doris Metzger, and brother-in-law of Katherine (Katie) Carlson. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Noah and Irene (Snyder) Metzger. Predeceased by his brother Joseph Metzger, sister Alice Metzger, sister Edna Martin and her husband Elam Martin, brother-in-law Evald Carlson, and sister-in-law Ethel Metzger. The family will receive their friends and relatives on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 11 a.m., with a reception to follow.
