Obituary of Michael Lawrence King

Passed away peacefully, into the arms of God, at his residence on Monday, January 15, 2018, at the age of 71 years. Michael King was the beloved husband of 51 years to Terry (Atfield) King. Loved father of Amanda and her husband Darryl Johnson of Elmira, Patrick of Chilliwack, BC, and Dennis and his wife Heather of Elmira. Loving Grandpa of Tamara, Rachel, Riley, Lexie, Anna, and Mary. Brother of Judy (Steve) McCormick, Frances (Gene) Ricci, and Kathy King, all of Brantford. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Beatrice (Heeney) King and brother Terry. Michael was a longtime member of Woodside Bible Fellowship and The Royal Canadian Legion, Elmira Branch. He was a retired employee of Budd Automotive, where he was the CAW plant chairman. Following that he worked with the Commissionaires at the Home Hardware/PIB location in Elmira. The family will receive their relatives and friends on Thursday, January 18, 2018, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, January 19, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Woodside Bible Fellowship, 200 Barnswallow Dr., Elmira. Interment in Elmira Union Cemetery will follow.
