Shoemaker, Naomi Loretta
Peacefully went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Grand River Hospital, at the age of 89 years. Beloved wife and best friend of Milton Shoemaker for over 65 years. Devoted mother of Yvonne (Ralph) Gingerich, Paul (Judy) Shoemaker, Judy (Joel) Hiller, Pat (Paul) Martin, Rick (Deb) Shoemaker, Steve (Jen) Shoemaker and Beverly (Bruce) Daley. Also lovingly remembered by her 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Mary Musselman, Violet Martin and sisters-in-law Janice Cressman and Wilma Shoemaker. Predeceased by her parents Laura and Eden Cressman, brother Calvin Cressman, sister Beatrice in infancy, grandson Jeremy Martin, granddaughter Ashley Shoemaker, brothers-in-law Marshall Musselman and Lloyd Martin, and Milt's family: Elma (Ervin) Musselman, Wilfred (Hettie) (Ella) Shoemaker, and Herb (Agnes) Shoemaker. The family will receive their relatives and friends on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. The interment will take place on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Bethel Mennonite Cemetery at 9:30 a.m., followed by the celebration of life at Floradale Mennonite Church at 11:30 a.m. In Naomi's memory, donations to Mennonite Central Committee, Grand River Hospital Foundation, or St. Mary's Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
