Obituary of Laura Joan Logel
Logel, Laura Joan (nee Fronchak) Peacefully passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at her residence in Elmira with her son Doug at her side. Laura, in her 79th year, was the beloved wife of Laverne and was two days short of their 60th anniversary. Dear and devoted mother of Dennis of London, Julie and Wilfred Doll, and Douglas, all of Elmira, Steven and Yvette of Wallenstein (on the family farm), Rosanne and Tim Amos of St. Jacobs, and Betty Ann and Keith Hunt of Waterloo. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jennifer (Anthony); Angela (Robert) and Carrie; Jenny (Mike) and Jessica (Eric); Christopher and Jordan; Taylor and Macey; and by her great-grandchildren Tru and Ruby; Alina and Colton. Laura will be missed by Betsy Ho, Peter Moore, the Smydo family, and by Laverne's family. Cherished sister of John and Janet, Ed (Yvonne), Jerry and Sharon, Mary (Johnny) and sister-in-law of Irene Fronchak. Predeceased by her parents Stanley and Julianna Fronchak, and by her brother Ted, and Walter and Alice Duda. Laura did tax returns for many people in the community, loved life on the farm and was a long time member of the C.W.L. A special thank you to her palliative care team for the exceptional care given to Laura. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with prayers at 1:45 p.m., at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila RC Church, 19 Flamingo Dr., Elmira. Interment in St. Joseph's RC Cemetery, Macton. Donations to St. Joseph's Parish Fund, Macton, or St. Teresa's Parish Fund, Elmira, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
