Obituary of Irene Markvart

Irene P. Markvart ~ It is with sadness we announce the passing of Irene Priscilla Markvart, April 4, 2011. Irene died peacefully, at the age of 85, in Wellington Terrace with her only son Jan (John) at her side. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Frank, her mother and father, Connie (Coates) and Francis Bristow, and her four siblings, Peggy, Betty, Frank, and Derrick. Irene was a loving mother to Jan and Margaret and doting grandmother to Anna (Phil Irish), Tanya (Roy Anthony), and Marella (John Moloney), and to her great-grandchildren Arden and Ravenna (Irish), Luke, Marcus and Joshua (Moloney). Irene lived in Batawa and Trenton for over 45 years. She was a very successful antique dealer for more than 35 years. Irene was well known and respected for her vast knowledge of art glass by dealers in the antique shows she attended in Ontario and Quebec. Special thanks must be given to the caring staff of Leisureworld in Elmira and Wellington Terrace in Elora.
