Obituary of Kenneth Nafziger

Passed away peacefully at Chartwell Elmira LTC Residence on Friday, March 29, 2019, at the age of 91 years.

Ken Nafziger was the beloved husband for 65 years of Lena (Horst) Nafziger.

Loved father of Wayne Nafziger and his wife Cheryl, Gloria Nafziger and her husband Stephen Allen, and Larry Nafziger and his wife Jane Snider.

Loving grandfather of Andrew Nafziger (Catherine Sawyer), Mary Ann Nafziger, Christa Nafziger (Neil Dennison); Hannah Allen (Cameron MacPhail), Nicholas Allen (Gracie James); and Zakary Nafziger; and great-grandfather of Aaron and Caleb Nafziger.

Dear brother of Mary Hildebrand and David (Susan) Nafziger. Lovingly remembered by the John and Mary (Frey) Horst family. 

Predeceased by his parents Amos and Nancy (Gerber) Nafziger, siblings Joseph (Carol) Nafziger and Katherine (David) Hunsberger, and brother-in-law Jacob Hildebrand.

Ken was a longtime member of Bethel Mennonite Church, and was a man well loved for his perseverance in the face of adversity.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, and Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Bethel Mennonite Church, 6772 Eighth Line W., RR 1, Elora, from 1:30 p.m. until the interment at 2:30 p.m. in the Bethel Mennonite Cemetery. A memorial service will take place at 3 p.m. at the church with a reception to follow.
