Obituary of Marilyn Diane Helen Craig

It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Marilyn on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital, at the age of 80 years. Beloved wife and best friend of John Craig for 55 years. Loved mother of Scott Craig and Colleen Craig and her husband Mathew Ward. Proud Nana of Riley and Claire Craig, and Jocelyn Ward. Dear sister of Gary and Doris Marsh. Marilyn was a very involved community member and enjoyed volunteering and meeting people. This was never more evident than with her 40+ years volunteering in various roles with the Elmira Sugar Kings, her 30+ years with the Grand River Raceway, and her many years of membership with the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Anyone who met Marilyn was sure to be remembered. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Church, 21 Arthur St. N., Elmira. The casket will be open at the church from 10 a.m. until the service time.
