Obituary of Gordon James Pringle
Pringle, Gordon James
Passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017, at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, one month short of his 82nd birthday. Sadly missed by his spouse of 34 years, Linda Laliberte and his daughter Kimberly Laliberte/Pfanner. Father of Jamie Pringle, Deborah Langille, and Lorie Reid. Survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gordon will be laid to rest alongside his loving mother, Vera (1974) and father, Gordon (1997), at Mount Hope Cemetery, Waterloo. Gordon was born in Kitchener, Ontario and attended KCI until leaving to join the RCAF, which took him to Edmonton, Alberta. He returned to KW several years later and represented Singer Sewing Machine, Electrohome Industries, National Aviation Ltd., and TFS. He started his own accounting firm, Fifth Wheel Financial Services Ltd, which he operated for over 30 years, until his retirement in 2007. Gordon lived many lives in one, with many loves and adventures. He did it all! He was a pilot, biker, scuba diver, snowmobiler, boater, skier, builder and flier of remote control aeroplanes, was involved with Reflections newspaper, and the list goes on. Thanks to his dear friends: John Hofstetter of Cambridge, Ron Getz of Michigan, Bill Culp of Kitchener and Hank Vercouteren of Kitchener who helped him create amazing memories and stories along the way. At Gord's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial will be held. Donations made to the OVC Pet Trust (https://ovc.uoguelph.ca/pettrust) would be a lovely memorial of Gordon, as he loved the many dogs he raised over the years, with Quill, Star and Nikki currently missing his companionship. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are also welcomed. Arrangements entrusted to Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
